The first Pine Grosbeaks have arrived on the Ontario FeederWatch Cam this season! Watch two males nibble on seeds on a sunny November morning before a flock of Evening Grosbeaks take command of the platform feeder. Pine Grosbeaks live in open evergreen forests with spruce, pine, or fir across Canada, in mountainous regions in the West, and in subalpine forests in Eurasia. They breed in open spruce, fir, and pine forests, but they drop in on feeders in winter, especially in the northeastern U.S.
