I got around to pruning my thornless blackberries. 💜 This is the same pruning technique to use for black and purple raspberries as well! ✨ Here’s what I did: 1.) Remove fruiting canes after fruiting. Canes die after fruiting. 2.) Select 3-6 strong new canes per plant to keep (more in full sun, fewer in part sun/shade), and remove extras by cutting them at the base. 3.) Head back the remaining canes at 40-48 inches. Remember that a cane grows directly out of the ground. Tie each cane to a stake,
